BID FOR PAL: Online auction raises money for Palmetto Animal League

Gentlemen (and women), start your bidding!

Palmetto Animal League's is holding "Bid for PAL," its first online auction. The auction started at 8 a.m. today atwww.pal.dojiggy.com and ends at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 11 — so the time to bid is NOW! The money raised will help build the animal rescue group's adoption center off S.C. 170. So it's a great way to make a donation and take home some sweet swag, too.

Over 300 items are up for auction, including trips to Disney World and New York City; artwork and a portrait commission; gift certificates to local restaurants; golf packages; spa services; private lessons for tennis, golf and more; and pet services and specialty items. Seriously, there's a ton of cool stuff available, so go to www.pal.dojiggy.com to check them out.

A little bit about the planned adoption center, according to PAL:

PAL plans to open its new adoption center in Riverwalk Business Park this summer. Since 2002, the organization has helped thousands of animals using a network of foster families. Having a permanent facility that can house approximately 120 dogs and cats will allow PAL to help even more animals. The center will serve as headquarters for the league’s operations, including rescue, adoption, community outreach, low-cost vaccine clinics and counseling.
